SENIORS
The Shine Network
At the Lantern, our seniors' work comprises of the 'Shine Network'. The network is made up of different groups which run throughout the week. All of these groups are open and would love you to come and visit. Below you'll find a list of the different events that happen during the week and services offered by the network:
The Lantern Befriending Service
One-to-one companionship and support for older people living alone in our local community. This is a free service for people over 60, living alone who have very few or no social visitors. A volunteer befriender will visit the person at home for about an hour each week or fortnight. The Lantern Befriending Service is operating for local residents in partnership with The Harvey Practice Doctors Surgery. A dedicated Lantern Befriending Service leaflet (which includes a referral form) is available in the Lantern Church or the Harvey Practice. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer befriender, please contact Tony or Roz Hanson via the button below or telephone: 07518120809

MIXED BLESSINGS
Mixed Blessings is a lively club for older people in the church and the community. There is always time for making friends and getting to know one another better, and also planned activities, including games, talks, recitals, short Bible spots, celebrations and outings.
