Mike is married to Michelle and they have three young children...and a puppy!
Mike is a Liverpool fan, loves sports, the outdoors and his happy place (other than on a Dorset beach with his family) is on a snowy mountain, with his snowboard strapped to his feet.
Mike believes passionately that when the local church grows wholehearted, whole-life disciples of Jesus then communities can be transformed - and we can have a lot of fun along the way!
Children and Families Pastor
Ruth moved here from Portsmouth in 2010 with her husband, Perry. They have 4 children, the youngest of whom is now 18. Ruth has led children's work for many years, including heading up 'Rock Solid' at New Wine and is passionate to see children and their parents connect with God.

Jamie is one of new team members here at The Lantern. He moved here, along with his wife Beth, from Manchester where he was living and working as a worship pastor for four years.
Originally from North London, Jamie loves swimming in the sea, rugby, cooking and enjoying good food as well as listening to country music!
He is passionate about leading people of all ages into the presence of God through worship, and has recently released his own EP of worship songs.
Tony and Roz Hanson
Tony’s passions are sea fishing and photography. After working for 8 years for a charity, setting up and running 20 weekly friendship clubs for older people, they are now coordinating The Lantern Shine Network. Along with an Action Group, they are helping the church reach out to those in "the second half of life!"
Youth and Assistant Teaching Pastor
He loves classical music and football. He has a passion for young people connecting with Jesus after being converted himself in the Salvation Army through their youth ministry. Get in contact with Jared about the Pulse, youth life groups, schools work and anything youth!

Sarah has been part of The Lantern since 2008, and joined the staff team in 2015. She is married to Al and they have three children . With a background in hospitality management, she coordinates the large-scale events that take place at the Lantern.

Karen is our Church Administrator. She is married to Richard and is a busy mum with three children and a Golden Retriever puppy! Karen has been a part of the Lantern since 1997 and joined the staff team in 2008. Karen's role involves dealing with day to day enquiries and administration. Karen is a keen gardener and loves going for walks with her family and dog.

Pastor for Discipleship and Creativity
Beth recently joined our team along with her husband Jamie. She grew up living locally until going to university in Southampton. She then lived and worked in Manchester for 4 years.
Beth loves being by the sea, being creative and being with people!
She is passionate about seeing people grow deeper in their relationships with God and journeying with them as they allow Him to work and move in more areas of their lives.
Along with her husband Jamie, Beth also heads up our Young Adults work.
Nick is married to Jan and he absolutely loves anything practical, particularly sailing. Nick also has an amazing heart for mission and has been involved with our missions committee for a number of years.

Katherine is married to an engineer, David, and they have three children. One day she looks forward to sleeping, finishing a conversation with an adult and never watching CBeebies ever again. Joys include French comedies, stationery shops and she loves seeing how God transforms broken lives through the local church.

Children and Families Apprentice
This year,, Charlotte is doing the New Wine Discipleship Year. As part of this, she is working with us here at The Lantern, specifically focussing on children and families work.
Charlotte grew up locally before moving to live in London for 5 years, where she studied at university and then worked as an online merchandiser. She loves dancing, a period drama and enjoys a good book!
Worship and Youth Apprentice
This year, Hanna is doing the New Wine Discipleship Year. As part of this, she is working with us here at The Lantern, specifically focussing on worship and youth.
Hannah has grown up coming to The Lantern until she went to university in Cheltenham to study music. Hanna loves travelling, cooking and being at the beach!
