We want everyone to feel part of the church community so we run groups and activities for all ages.
Cell Groups
It’s difficult to get to know many on a Sunday. That’s why we have these groups of up to a dozen where we can really get to know God better, encourage one another and use it as a place to reach out to others. We have groups for all ages as well as men’s & women’s only groups that meet at different times during the week – mornings & evenings. For more details, contact Tony & Pauline Rawlins 01202 888615.

Alpha
This 10 week course is a fun-filled, informal look at the real questions of life. A cracking meal, followed by talks on subjects such as, Who is Jesus? How does God guide me? How do I pray? Then the argy-bargy begins in small discussion groups where no question is too hostile or ridiculous.
Next course starts Wed 15th October
If you are interested in joining, please email the office at info@thelanternchurch.org or telephone the office, 01202 887733.
Care and Support
Our primary pastoral care is done in the cell groups but you are always able to contact the vicar on, 01202 887733, if you would like to talk through any issues. We do offer prayer ministry at every service as well as prayer counseling for those that would value it. Please contact the office for more information on this. The Office number is 01202 887733.
Prayer
We believe prayer is fundamental to the life of our church. In addition to personal & cell group prayer we have central prayer times as well as weeks of prayer & fasting. Recently we have begun to offer something called ‘soaking’ prayer once a month which gives time for people to hear from God and receive encouragement.
